Father Randy
I am Father Randy Budnar. I was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1988. I have a BA from St. Meinrad Seminary College in Indiana and a Master of Divinity from St. Francis Theology School in Milwaukee.
I served 5 years 1988-93 at St. Victor in Monroe first with Fr. Nilles then with Fr. Umhoeher. I then served three years at St. Maria Goretti on the west side of Madison with Fr. Schuster 93-96. I served one year with Fr. Hennington at St. John in Waunakee. I served two years 97-99 at Sacred Hearts in Sun Prairie first with Fr. Hinnen, then with Fr. Moellenberndt. Then one year as pastor at St. Augustine Footville. Then as pastor of St. Patrick’s, Hollandale, and Immaculate Conception in Blanchardville, 2000-2002.
I am now pastor at Holy Rosary Darlington.
I grew up in McFarland where my parents Roland and Joyce still live. I am the second oldest of six; Suzanne, Linda, Jim, Lisa and Rebecca. I have two brother-in-laws, three nieces, and one nephew.
I have been a Chaplain in the Wisconsin Air Guard for the 115 Fighter Wing at Truax base in Madison Feb 1996 to Aug 2001. I was deployed 2 weeks to Hickum in Hawaii, and 5 weeks to Tuzla in Bosnia.
I served on the fire department in Hollandale. I served on a hospital ethics board for Iowa county, and I was a chaplain for the Boy Scouts. I am a member of the American legion and serve on the honor guard. I am a chaplain for the Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic Daughters.
I have traveled to Rome, Germany, Check Republic, Slovak Republic, Austria, Australia, Canada, México, Costa Rica, Peru, Puerto Rico, Tanzania, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. I have tried sky diving, hang gliding, white water rafting, parasailing, and driving a sagway. I hiked up Mount Quandary in Colorado, Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and down the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I had a good hot air balloon ride in Colorado and went on an afternoon cattle drive. I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, tennis, biking, scuba diving, traveling, and reading. I also enjoy playing the guitar, playing cards, singing in Church, and talking about religion.
God has call me to the priesthood. I serve God with all my heart. I enjoy all God has given me to do.
